Are you bored and want to play super spy or perhaps you want to be the envy of the CIA with your high tech equipment stash. Then this infrared webcam conversion video may just do the trick. Learn how to take a simple everyday cheap webcam and turn it into a night vision camera very easily. All you need is a screw driver, cheap webcam and a used infrared remote control for anything.
Summary: You have to remove the clear plastic protective cover (done in the video at 30 seconds) then pop out the cut filter. The cut filter on this camera is a square piece of glass. It should just fall right out. The protective cover I had to ply out with a tiny flat-head screw driver. Then use a infrared emitter such as a remote control to provide you a source of invisible light (infrared) to light up the darkness. Woooooooo ahhhhhh what fun you spy ninja you!

Ok a little tin foil, glue and paper can help you achieve what a lot of those $50 after market antennas do in about 5 minutes time. This video will show you how to increase your WiFi signal almost instantly, ofcourse check with your local laws to see if you are allowed to do this….. you will won’t you?
The template is attached below and here is the note from the maker:
Note: If printed at the download size you will see about 9 dBi of gain. If you double the size of the image before you print it you will see about 12 dBi of gain. If you place two reflectors on an AP with two antennas you will see an additional increase in performance.

Enjoy your Hacker Daily cheap WiFi signal booster!
